Sugar Wharf is a condominium project from Menkes Developments Ltd. which launched back in 2018. There were two launch dates: a VIP launch which happened in June and a Public launch which happened back in August.
Reportedly, this new condominium project turned out to be a major success. Altus Group, which is a leading provider when it comes to real estate data, confirmed that Sugar Wharf was indeed the best-selling condominium project in Canada in 2018. Within the same year where housing sales activity was seen to decline, this achievement seemed to be a major one for the company.
The Sugar Wharf community, which is located on East Bayfront just northeast of Freeland Street and Queens Quay East, is set to cover a span of 11.5 acres. It includes a number of amenities including offices, residences, shops, and restaurants. It will also feature the first vertically integrated school in Toronto.Upon completion, it will be considered the biggest mixed-use development in the waterfront area.
Jared Menkes, who’s the Executive Vice President of the company, shares his excitement for the project. He says that they’re equally as excited as the buyers to witness this massive condominium project finally come to life. He also added that they’re very lucky to be among the most trusted brands on the market, especially since prospective homeowners are aiming for quality brands they can trust.
Altus reported that the sales for new condominiums declined by 38% compared to the record high back in 2017. However, it has managed to stay close to the market’s 10-year average. As of now, Sugar Wharf Condos are still ongoing construction, with a target completion date set at 2022.
What to Expect
Sugar Wharf was designed to be an intelligent community, and with Canada’s ultra high-speed broadband network, residents will be able to enjoy internet speeds which are up to 500 times faster than the usual speeds experienced by US residential networks. Sugar Wharf aims to wire cutting-edge multistrand fiber infrastructure to every suite.
This means that Sugar Wharf residents will find working from home a whole lot easier. Downloading large files will only take seconds, streaming HD movies will be a breeze, and there will be no lags, allowing everyone to focus more on the other aspects of their lives. Needless to say, residents will also experience WiFi connectivity at all times, stretching to areas like elevators, lobby, and parking garage.
Since Sugar Wharf is designed with the future in mind, residents are guaranteed that this project is certainly future-proof and can certainly last for years.
